Merthyr Tydfil Museums and Heritage Group, also known as Friends of Cyfarthfa Castle Museum and Art Gallery, organises regular lectures, meetings, activities and events to attract visitors to the museum and promote the cultural and industrial heritage and historic environment of Cyfarthfa, Merthyr Tydfil and Wales. The Friends also campaigns to raise funds for local museum and heritage projects.
