Sandy Bear Children's Bereavement Charity
What it does
Sandy Bear strengthen the emotional health and well-being of young people aged 0-25 (and their families) in the lead up to and following a bereavement. We aim to reduce emotional difficulties in childhood and the prevalence of mental illness in later life that can result in a decreased quality of life, poorer educational attainment, social and health problems and increased vulnerability.
Its charitable purposes
TO RELIEVE THE MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL DISTRESS OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM BEREAVEMENT OR LIVING WITH A PERSON WHO HAS A LIFE LIMITING CONDITION. THE MODEL OF CARE PROVIDED IS EVIDENCE BASED AND WE ARE MEMBERS OF THE CHILD BEREAVEMENT NETWORK
